BIRCHALL & TAYLOR

  • ART DIRECTION, BRAND IDENTITY, WEB DESIGN, UX/UI

Birchall and Taylor was formed in 2017. They focus on creating extraordinary, high-quality handcrafted wristwatches. Every watch is exceptionally finished in their Toronto workshop, utilizing some of the most intricate traditional finishing techniques. This obsessive level of detail throughout their work, from design to final execution, ensures that their discerning customers can be confident they are investing in true craftsmanship.

Birchall & Taylor's main goal was to create a website communicating the value of calibre craftsmanship and its products. They were looking for a solution to drive social followers and sales, yet they preferred to avoid corporate E-commerce experiences.

Our approach utilized visual and interactive experiences to tell the story and showcase the beauty behind the scenes to transform the brand digitally. The goal was to build a customer journey that thrives, entices users, builds up excitement as they explore each Birchall & Taylor product, and gives customers a reason to engage with the brand on a deeper level.

The result was a bold, straightforward, structured website reimagined as a digital showroom that is easy to navigate, with a strong visual hierarchy that keeps users clicking and scrolling through the key pages. From a brand perspective, this experience says artisan watchmakers over corporate E-commerce.

(The project was done with HARLEY OLIVER.)
